A computer is an device that manipulates data and provides us information . Computer has the capability to store, retrieve, and process data. Initially computer were used for technical education and research but now a days it is use in different types of work such as typing documents, send email, playing games, and online work using internet.
Parts or Components Of Computer
A computer is a type of device that can manage different kinds of programs to perform variety of tasks to the users. Computer respond to the users through the set of instructions arranged in particular order. It storage and execution the user programs or instructions. Computers can perform both difficult and simple operations. A computer is a device that consists of both hardware and software.. Computer consists wires, transistors, circuits etc as a hardware parts. Software consists programs. Program is a set of instructions and data. General computers consists following types of components in hardware.
Basically a Computer Consists two parts
1 Software
2 Hardware
Software versus Hardware
Software is that piece of PC framework which we can not see but we can feels it and work with it .It incorporates set of instructions(program) and data, libraries and related non-executable information, such like online data or digital media.
Both the Hardware and software are required for the computer be working properly .Non can be do any thing with the software or hardware alone.
Classification
of Computer Hardware
- Input devices: these devices takes raw data as input.
- Processing devices: These devices process raw data (instructions ) into processed data j.e information.
- Output devices: provides or display data and information to the user .
- Storage devices: These devices are required to store data and information .
Software is a set
of data, programs, procedures, routines and instructions that tell a computer
or electronic device how to what to do and how to do.

- System Software
- Firmware
- Programming Software
- Freeware
- Driver Software
- Shareware
- Open Source Software
- Closed Source Software
Software is a set of instructions and data that tells a computer what to do. On the other hand hardware, is the part of the computer which actually built the computer system and performs the required work.
